• Adhering to ICAO Assembly Resolution A40-10, which emphasizes the importance of addressing cybersecurity to safeguard information and data from threats and attacks. • Promoting a culture of cybersecurity within the civil aviation sector. • Building specialized human capabilities through training and awareness programs. • Coordinating and collaborating with national and international entities to ensure a secure aviation environment. • Developing security policies and guidelines in alignment with ICAO standards.

Electronic system for registering cybersecurity breaches

The cybersecurity breach reporting system is an essential tool aimed at documenting and tracking all incidents and cyber breaches by reporting and collecting information on potential or actual unlawful interventions against Libyan civil aviation systems. It allows for the recording of all cyber breach incidents related to the Civil Aviation Authority and its subsidiaries, enabling quick identification of the nature of threats, assessment of damages, and taking appropriate actions to mitigate their effects and prevent recurrence. This system is also part of the Civil Aviation Authority's cybersecurity strategy, aiming to enhance electronic protection and resilience, and ensure the continuity and safety of civil aviation in the face of increasing cybersecurity threats.
