- Proposing regulatory and operational rules related to air navigation service systems and associated procedures, updating them according to the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Civil Aviation Law and its executive regulations. - Reviewing documents, annexes, and amendments issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and providing opinions thereon. - Preparing technical manuals, guidance bulletins, and documents that clarify the administration’s policies and necessary procedures, including their updates and amendments. - Developing plans for air navigation service systems in coordination with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for implementing regional air navigation plans. - Maintaining, operating, and monitoring all equipment and systems used in air navigation services. - Conducting continuous inspections and regular evaluations of all air navigation service equipment and systems located inside and outside the airport. - Determining needs and specifications for air navigation service equipment and systems. - Participating in preparing qualification exams for administration specialists across all classifications, and accrediting specialized training institutions in coordination with the Examination and Licensing Office of the authority. - Defining required qualifications and assessing the competence of engineers and technicians within the administration. - Contributing to the development of specialized training plans and programs in coordination with relevant departments within the authority. - Organizing and conducting workshops and lectures related to air navigation services to enhance the efficiency of the administration’s personnel. - Employing the latest technologies in air navigation service systems within the airspace according to international standards. - Receiving notifications and technical reports on faults in air navigation service systems and performing the necessary technical repairs. - Participating in the aerial calibration of air navigation service systems. - Maintaining all audio and data recordings related to daily air traffic. - Supervising and participating in the installation of air navigation service systems in coordination with contractors executing air navigation projects. - Supervising and following-up on civil works related to air navigation service projects. - Preparing scopes of work for air navigation projects and participating in the evaluation of project bids within tender committees. - Granting approval for the use of frequencies included within the civil aviation frequency spectrum to service providers. - Implementing the safety management system and emergency plans and determining the safety performance level. - Applying the administration’s quality policies and objectives. - Participating in preparing the estimated budget related to air navigation service projects. - Attending meetings, conferences, seminars, and workshops organized by international and regional civil aviation organizations and bodies.
