AIS is a section of Air navigation service (ANS) divided into the following units:-<\/p>\n<p>1. (NOTAM) Notice to Airmen Unit (International NOF) Managed by AIS<br \/>\n2. Aeronautical Information Publication and its appendices (AIP)<br \/>\n3. (BRIEFING) offices in airports: Tripoli, Mitiga, Benina, Sirte, Sebha, Misrata, Labraq, Kufra, Ghadames, Ghat and Tobruk.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>AIS Section Tasks:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>1 \u2013 Gather the raw information from different sources, and arrange them in an<br \/>\ninternational standard in compliance to ICAO SARPS, then issue this<br \/>\ninformation in a standard format called ( NOTAM).Distributed by means of AFTN.<br \/>\n2 \u2013 Briefing technicians provide pilots with basic information regarding domestic<br \/>\nand international flight routes.<br \/>\n3 \u2013 Flight plan handling ( review and send ) through international<br \/>\ncommunications system AFTN, before flight take off to the concerned parties,<br \/>\nas well as sending aviation messages regarding Departure (DEP ) , Arrival (ARR)<br \/>\nand Delay (DLA) of flights and any other information.<br \/>\n4- Issuance of aeronautical information circular(AIC), periodically. Also issuance of AIP Amendment .(AIP supplement &amp; AIRAC SUP).<br \/>\n5 \u2013 Collect all aeronautical information and publish them as AIP AMDT or AIRAC AMDT in Libyan AIP .
